Unwavering Faith
Being called to step into a new chapter is almost like being birthed. You come out of the incubation phase red faced and crying, but ready to take on a bright, new world. You take your first deep breath as this iteration of yourself and make your entrance into your new, shiny life.
This new direction requires you to step into becoming a person who is still developing, but a deep desire and purpose already exists.
As you endure your metamorphosis and find your ‘new’ self on the Earthbound side, a thought strikes:
“Do I have the capacity to have unwavering faith in myself?”
Do you have unwavering faith no matter what, even through extreme obstacles, fails and losses? Do you have the kind of faith and tenacity movies are made of? Can you grin and bear the pain of becoming someone shiny and new? A lot of us give up right before the miracle occurs. Can you stand to stay?
There may be many accumulated moments of self-abandonment, regret and self-doubt that will rear their ugly heads, ('Hey, Ego!' we see you), but unwavering faith in oneself is a huge test and it will show up again and again. The test has arrived on your shaving creamed cleaned desk (remember that?) To pass the test, you have to commit to it. Go all in. No one's passing you a cheat sheet. No one is coming to save you or give you the answers. Some people are silently rooting against you. You must CHOOSE yourself and BELIEVE in yourself and your purpose or mission.
On a personal note, I’ve done just this, recently. At times, I’ve been scared shitless as I’ve arrived into my new chapter. But what’s been comforting is listening to that constant deeper knowing and leaning into the deep pull of my intuition. I’ve checked, double-checked and triple-checked that my career change was the right thing to do. (It was.) Having moments of unwavering faith AND complete lunacy (maybe they’re interchangeable), has gotten me here. Hot tip: Sometimes the ‘craziest’ decisions are the best ones.
I will continue to listen to that voice of my intuition and believe in the beauty of anything being possible and opportunities arriving because I’m not afraid to ask for them or put myself in rooms with other successful people who lift me up. And I hope you will too. I have paved a new road for myself and, hopefully, have shown others the way in the process.
